Description

You will manage the unloading, decontamination, and staging of waste for processing within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable materials for incineration.
• Stage waste on conveyor systems or stack materials for scanning into the Biotrack system.
• Operate tub wash units and sprayers to decontaminate reusable containers.
• Decontaminate vehicle cargo areas and ensure no free liquid remains on vehicle floors.
• Maintain plant housekeeping by addressing spills, debris, and floor dryness immediately.

Required Skills

• One year of related experience or training in plant or warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency with barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
• Capacity for extensive walking, bending, and physical labor.
• Strong communication skills and tact.

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating a powered industrial truck, such as a forklift.
• Warehouse experience.
