Description

You will design and develop architecture definitions for platform services, focusing on embedded infrastructure like bootup, commissioning, storage, and thermal management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design for embedded software, collaborating with system software, virtualization, and device driver teams.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve issues and improve development processes for current and future applications.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to align hardware system designs with software requirements.
• Architect solutions using Linux, Android, and microcontroller RTOSs for embedded hardware deployed in aircraft.
• Break down architecture into development tasks, reviewing deliverables against specifications and resolving design blockers.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical role.
• In-depth knowledge of operating system concepts, specifically Linux and Android integration into embedded hardware.
• Experience designing and developing software for embedded systems, including hardware abstraction and device drivers.
• Familiarity with storage systems and file systems, including disk partitioning, RAID, and distributed file systems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies: containers, hypervisors, and hardware virtualization in Linux/Android.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, provisioning, and commissioning processes.
• Ability to lead and work within Agile (SAFe and SCRUM) global team settings.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with thermal management systems in embedded environments.
• Background in aircraft or aerospace hardware deployment.
