Description

You will design, build, and maintain the internal developer platform centered on Backstage to enhance developer productivity.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom Backstage plugins and customize the portal using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Configure the Software Catalog and create Scaffolder templates to standardize project creation.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP using Terraform and Crossplane.io.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and manage artifacts via JFrog Artifactory.
• Implement SRE practices using Datadog for observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with TypeScript, Python, and JavaScript.
• Proven expertise in Backstage.io development and customization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Crossplane.io.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and JFrog Artifactory.
• Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLOs, and Datadog.
• Knowledge of REST and GraphQL API design.

Preferred Skills

• Contributions to open-source projects, particularly Backstage.
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and implementing secure coding practices.
