Description

You will architect, build, and operate a high-availability on-premise Kubernetes platform for mission-critical workloads.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own Kubernetes lifecycle management, including cluster bootstrap, upgrades, hardening, backup, and recovery.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex platform issues across the Kubernetes control plane, networking, storage, and scheduling.
• Partner with SRE, DevSecOps, and Security teams to define and enforce platform reliability, scalability, and security standards.
• Leverage Generative AI and agentic tools to accelerate engineering processes while defining guardrails and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring of platform engineers.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Docker, Linux, and GitOps workflows.
• Proven track record building and operating high-availability, mission-critical platforms.
• Strong understanding of Linux, containers, networking, and storage systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with on-premise, edge, or air-gapped Kubernetes deployments.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI or agentic tools to improve engineering productivity.
• Experience partnering with SRE and Security teams in regulated or operationally critical environments.
