Description

Lead systems engineering activities in mission-critical environments, providing technical direction for software development and operating system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in agile development teams to deliver software updates.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers.
• Manage all phases of systems engineering activities in mission-critical environments.
• Support production systems using Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Execute release management and ensure accuracy across information systems.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of related systems engineering experience.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
• Software development experience using Go, Java, C#, or JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, or NSX-T.
• Expert knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Proficiency with Git and Continuous Integration tools such as Concourse, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity.
• Expertise in networking technologies including load balancing, DNS, SSL, firewalls, NAT, and SDN.
• Degree in a relevant field (BA/BS).

Preferred Skills

• DOD 8570 IAT Level III certification.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack.
• Automation and orchestration experience with Kubernetes, Chef, Ansible, or BOSH.
