Description

You will own the design, deployment, and operation of mission-critical, real-time data platforms built on Kafka and Linux.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available Kafka clusters in production.
• Perform Kafka upgrades and patching while ensuring minimal downtime.
• Administer security protocols and access controls across the data platform.
• Monitor cluster health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical cluster incidents like broker outages and replication lag.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Expertise in Apache Kafka cluster administration and tuning.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux system internals, including RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience managing Kafka ecosystem components (ZooKeeper, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker, KRaft).
• Strong scripting abilities in Shell or Python for automation.
• Experience monitoring distributed systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) is required.
• Experience in the Finance Domain.
