Description

You will engineer and maintain core platform services using Kafka and Linux systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable Kafka clusters, including topics, partitions, ACLs, and schema registry configurations.
• Plan and manage cluster resources to ensure capacity for future growth.
• Manage and tune Kafka Connect, Streams, and MirrorMaker for platform reliability.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Build custom Kafka tooling, dashboards, and health monitoring solutions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional experience in platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Expertise in Apache Kafka cluster design, management, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Linux systems engineering (RHEL, Ubuntu).
• Deep knowledge of Kafka ecosystem components: ZooKeeper, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker, and KRaft.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Ansible and Terraform.
• Ability to build custom tooling and monitoring dashboards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RHEL or Ubuntu environments at scale.
• Background in developing high-throughput data streaming architectures.
