You will own the design, deployment, and management of enterprise-scale Red Hat OpenShift clusters in on-prem datacenter environments.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure OpenShift platforms, handling cluster lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, patching).
Build and automate infrastructure in datacenter environments, integrating OpenShift with virtualization platforms and developing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
Provide deep Linux system administration, optimizing OS configurations and resolving complex kernel, networking, and storage issues.
Partner with the SRE team to establish SLOs, implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing), and drive incident remediation.
Implement RBAC, security policies, and compliance controls within OpenShift, hardening clusters against enterprise security standards.
Required Skills
5+ years in Linux systems engineering (RHEL preferred).
3+ years hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x preferred).
Proven experience building infrastructure in on-prem datacenter environments.
Expertise with automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, networking (DNS, load balancing, SDN), and storage (SAN, NAS, CSI drivers).
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
