Description

Manage and support data application platforms in a wealth management environment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Unix, Windows, Sybase, SQL Server, Single Store, MQ, Kafka, OpenShift, ELK, Hadoop, Connect Direct, and DataStage.
• Design and implement solutions enabling application teams to leverage data platforms effectively.
• Develop automation programs to increase platform support efficiency.
• Configure monitoring and alerts to ensure platform stability and resiliency.
• Lead platform initiatives from end to end while ensuring compliance with security and technology standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in platform or systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.
• Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with ELK, GitHub, Jenkins, and Hadoop.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience with SQL Server, MQ, Kafka, and application monitoring tools like Dynatrace or Prognosis.
• Prior experience working within the Canadian banking sector.
• Ability to work within an onsite-offshore model.

Preferred Skills

• Software development and Agile methodology experience.
• Knowledge of the Wealth Management domain.
