Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end containerization strategies for diverse application workloads using Docker, including Dockerfile creation, image optimization, and secure container patterns.
• Architect, deploy, and manage complex Kubernetes workloads across environments by authoring Kubernetes YAML manifests and building Helm charts for multiple application types.
• Automate provisioning and deployments using modular, reusable Ansible playbooks and roles with idempotency and environment-ready workflows.
• Implement Kubernetes security and hardening practices including NetworkPolicies, Istio traffic rules, and secure configuration patterns using ConfigMaps and Secrets.
• Integrate platform observability using Prometheus and Grafana, and troubleshoot/optimize Kubernetes components such as Ingress, Deployments, StatefulSets, scaling, and networking.

Skills Required:

• 5 - 8 years of hands-on platform engineering experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Containerization using Docker, including building images from scratch with secure build practices (e.g., non-root execution, multistage builds, optimized layers).
• Kubernetes expertise including core architecture understanding and hands-on workload operations (Deployments vs StatefulSets, PVCs/VolumeMounts, StorageClasses, HPA, probes, resource requests/limits).
• Helm chart development with templating/parameterization, helpers.tpl usage, conditional resources, and values.yaml structuring for multi-environment deployments.
• Automation with Ansible playbooks and roles, including Jinja2 templating, inventories/variables, idempotency, and integration into Kubernetes provisioning workflows.
• Observability with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and operational visibility of platform and workloads.

Good to Have:

• Kafka for integrating messaging/streaming components into platform workflows.
