Description

You will design, develop, and commission PLC-based automation solutions for complex machinery and integrated systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PLC software programs tailored to specific project and customer requirements.
• Debug and commission control systems at the facility and during on-site customer installations.
• Select, test, and integrate hardware including robots, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems, and lasers.
• Collaborate with designers, toolmakers, and electricians to resolve technical issues and ensure functional automation.
• Provide technical documentation and conduct customer training on machine operation and programming principles.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley (Studio 5000) PLCs.
• Proficiency with Siemens (Step 7, TIA Portal) PLCs.
• Experience programming and integrating ABB, Fanuc, or Epson robots.
• Hands-on work with FTView Studio (ME/SE), Siemens, or WinCC Flexible/Explorer HMIs.
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols including Ethernet IP and ProfiNet.
• Ability to integrate analog devices, motion controllers, and vision systems.
• Degree in any technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Willingness to travel to customer and supplier sites for installation, commissioning, and training duties.
