Description

Manage commissioning, programming, and validation of automated assembly cells and robotic systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Commission Ethernet/IP Fieldbus networks and establish communications with third-party equipment like cameras and welders.
• Validate safety equipment functionality, including E-Stops, gates, and light curtains.
• Program and teach servos for device positioning and pick-and-place applications.
• Connect to equipment via PC to download control software and operate systems using HMI manual mode.
• Collaborate with the build team to identify and correct mechanical defects such as sensor positioning and alignments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering.
• Proficiency with RSLogix v32 and Rockwell processors.
• Experience with GuardLogix safety programming.
• Hands-on use of Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC v15.1 for HMI development.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Experience with Ethernet/IP Fieldbus and Servo applications using Rockwell Kinetix 5700.
• Ability to manage PLC-to-Fanuc controller handshaking for robotic automation.

Preferred Skills

• Commissioning of Hirschmann managed Ethernet switches.
• Familiarity with Matrox Camera Systems and MES system principles.
• Proficiency in Visio.
