Description

Commission and support automated assembly cells and robotic systems in Lewis Center, OH.

Responsibilities

• Download and deploy control software via PC connections to equipment.
• Commission Ethernet/IP Fieldbus networks and establish communications with third-party devices such as cameras and welders.
• Validate safety equipment functionality, including E-Stops, safety gates, and light curtains.
• Teach servos and manage device positioning for pick and place applications.
• Operate equipment in manual, dry cycle, and limited product run modes while collaborating with build teams to correct mechanical defects and sensor alignments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in automation engineering.
• Proficiency with RSLogix v32 and Rockwell processors.
• Experience with GuardLogix safety programming.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC v15.1 for HMI development.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP Fieldbus networks.
• Experience with Fanuc robot integration and PLC-to-controller handshaking.
• Competency with Rockwell Kinetix 5700 servo applications.
• Practical experience validating E-Stops, gates, and light curtains.

Preferred Skills

• Commissioning of Hirschmann managed Ethernet switches.
• Experience with Matrox Camera Systems and Visio.
• Basic understanding of MES system principles.
