Description

You will commission and operate automated assembly cells, robotic systems, and PLC networks.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Commission Ethernet/IP Fieldbus networks and establish communications with third-party equipment.
• Download control software and teach servo positioning for pick and place applications.
• Validate safety equipment functionality including E-Stops, gates, and light curtains.
• Operate equipment via HMI in manual and dry cycle modes while supporting production runs.
• Collaborate with the build team to identify and correct defects in sensor positioning and mechanical alignments.

Required Skills

• 6-10 years of experience in automation and robotics.
• Proficiency with RSLogix v32 and Rockwell processors.
• Experience with GuardLogix safety programming.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC v15.1 for HMI development.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP Fieldbus protocols.
• Experience with Fanuc robot integration, specifically PLC-side handshaking.
• Competency in servo applications using Rockwell Kinetix 5700.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Commissioning of Hirschmann managed Ethernet switches.
• Familiarity with Matrox Camera Systems and MES system principles.
• Proficiency in Visio.
