Description

You will manage PLC and L2 automation systems and machine integrations for shop floor operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform automation discovery and fit-gap assessments to recommend hardware modules for connectivity.
• Program and deploy PLC code for Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Omron platforms using online and offline methods to minimize downtime.
• Integrate machines with MES systems, managing QR scanner and RFID connections.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to identify and resolve root causes.
• Develop reusable PLC templates and maintain system stability.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in PLC and L2 automation.
• Hands-on programming with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, KEBA, and Omron models.
• Proficiency with communication protocols: OPC, Ethernet IP, Modbus, and REST API.
• Experience with SNMP traps and SCOM monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of OPC and OPC Router with MongoDB and/or InfluxDB integration.
• Experience integrating machines with MES systems.
• Working knowledge of QR scanner and RFID integration.
• SQL skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MS SQL Server.
• Basic understanding of Apriso Machine Integrator.
