Description

You will manage and develop database environments with a focus on PL/SQL and shell scripting, owning the full lifecycle from installation to troubleshooting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage database installation, upgrades, migrations, and change management processes.
• Perform performance tuning at both the database and OS levels.
• Execute database backup and recovery using RMAN and manage user-led recovery.
• Implement database security by managing users, roles, and privileges.
• Conduct capacity planning to manage database growth and support development teams.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a DBA and Developer.
• Expertise in PL/SQL programming and Unix Shell Scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL processes, and concepts.
• Experience with database versions 8.x, 9.x, 10.x, or newer.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling and physical database design.
• Experience with Solaris, Unix, Linux, and Windows system administration.
• Ability to fix ORA-errors and perform database refreshes.
• Experience meeting remote DBS support SLAs and metrics.

Preferred Skills

• DBA Certification.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Discoverer, Focus, or Crystal Reports.
