Description

Design, develop, and execute data migration projects and database objects for legacy-to-new system conversions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mappings between legacy and new data elements and verify business rules with users.
• Develop standardized procedures for conversion routines and automate pre/post conversion tasks using utility scripts.
• Execute live data conversions, perform data verification, and ensure accuracy during migration to target systems.
• Participate in requirements gathering, system design, and business process evaluation.
• Conduct post-conversion testing and provide technical support to address data issues.

Required Skills

• Expertise in writing complex SQL, PL/SQL functions, procedures, and analytical functions.
• Experience creating Oracle objects including Tables, Materialized views, Triggers, and Synonyms.
• Proficiency with User Defined Data Types, Nested Tables, and Collections.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database.
• Knowledge of MarkLogic Server and MarkLogic using MLCP.
• Technical background in Java, .Net, C, or C++.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
