Description

You will design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code to meet business requirements. You own end-to-end database development, including analysis, coding, testing, and deployment. You optimize existing programs for performance and scalability using execution plans and query tuning. You write and maintain Shell scripts for job automation, batch processing, and file handling on Unix/Linux systems. You support reconciliation processes, generating reports and analyzing mismatches to ensure data accuracy. You participate in code reviews and collaborate with application teams and DBAs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop complex Oracle PL/SQL objects including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and cursors.
  • Optimize SQL performance and query execution for large data volumes and transactional systems.
  • Develop and maintain Shell scripts for scheduling, automation, and file handling.
  • Support reconciliation processes, including report generation and mismatch analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to development best practices.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on PL/SQL development experience.
  • Extensive expertise in writing complex procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and cursors.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plans.
  • Proven development experience; support-only profiles will not be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with Shell Scripting on Unix/Linux environments.
  • Current and active experience working with Shell scripting in production.
  • Experience with job automation, batch processing, and file handling.
  • Exposure to reconciliation development and data accuracy validation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with large data volumes and high-transaction systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
