Description

You will develop and optimize database solutions using Oracle and PL/SQL within a financial services context.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL solutions for large data volumes using star schema, partitioning, and compression techniques.
• Optimize database performance through schema design, query tuning, index creation, and analysis of AWR reports, SQL*TRACE, and EXPLAIN PLAN.
• Translate architectural requirements into functional SQL design and code.
• Maintain metadata, data glossaries, and data catalog processes.
• Implement data quality monitoring and ensure security through encryption protocols.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and Exadata SQL.
• Deep understanding of Oracle Server Process Architecture, including SGA and PGA memory structures.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting and command-line basics.
• Experience with dimensional and transactional data modelling, including physical and logical modelling.
• Proven ability to perform application tuning and performance scaling.
• Background working within the financial industry, specifically involving risk data.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
