Description

You will develop and maintain PL/SQL code and data access layers to support client applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify database objects including tables, indexes, views, triggers, constraints, and DB links.
• Write PL/SQL programs using cursors and exception handling to retrieve and process data.
• Automate database activities such as backups, health monitoring, and disk space checks through scheduled jobs.
• Develop Perl and shell scripts to parse incoming files and load data into the database.
• Coordinate with DBAs on tablespaces, auditing, and data quality checks, and provide ongoing production support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database development.
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL, including functions, procedures, packages, and triggers.
• Extensive experience with Oracle DBs.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Unix environments with the ability to develop and modify scripts.
• Experience with SVN version management.
• Experience using JIRA for requirement tracking and planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
