Description

You will act as a senior PMO expert within the Project & Product Delivery Center of Excellence, focusing on process maturity rather than direct project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and Release Train Engineers to ensure compliance with VDOT and VITA procedures.
• Develop and maintain project management processes, templates, job aids, and reference materials.
• Design and deliver training programs focused on project management methodologies and best practices.
• Monitor projects to detect risks and issues, intervening in high-risk projects to ensure mitigation and schedule adherence.
• Establish and maintain Agile, Scaled Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall frameworks.

Required Skills

• Active PMP certification from PMI or a PM certification from VITA.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex projects with multiple workstreams and high organizational change.
• 10+ years of experience working with Scrum, Agile, SAFE, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project Professional and Microsoft Project On-Line (POL).
• Functional understanding of Project Server, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, and Power BI.
• Experience creating and managing knowledge bases and training programs.
• Ability to program and create custom reports using IT application standard tools.
• Strong ability to guide project managers in budget management, critical path definition, and organizational change.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work onsite in Richmond, VA, three days per week.
