Description

You will manage spatial databases and optimize geospatial data workflows using PostgreSQL and PostGIS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage spatial databases using PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
• Design and optimize database schemas and queries for spatial data.
• Handle data migration, ETL processes, and large spatial datasets.
• Integrate geospatial data with GIS software tools including QGIS and ArcGIS.
• Troubleshoot database performance and ensure data integrity across on-premise and cloud environments.

Required Skills

• 3 to 8 years of experience in geospatial data management and database administration.
• Proficiency in PostGIS for geospatial data processing.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database management, administration, and optimization.
• Experience with PL/SQL and SQL queries.
• In-depth understanding of geospatial concepts, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing.
• Experience with database migration and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based database environments.
• Hands-on experience with geospatial data formats including Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, and WKT.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with QGIS, ArcGIS, or other open-source GIS tools.
