Description

You will manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of Postgres database infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain EDB Postgres, PGD, and AWS RDS clusters.
• Optimize performance, review configurations, and implement database improvements.
• Support data migrations, upgrades, and patching across environments.
• Provide day-to-day database administration for large-scale platforms.
• Troubleshoot, tune SQL performance, and ensure high availability.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional database engineering experience.
• Expertise in EDB Postgres, PGD, and AWS RDS/Aurora.
• Deep understanding of Postgres internals and architecture.
• Strong proficiency in replication methods (Streaming, Logical, BDR).
• Skilled in performance tuning, automation, and scripting using Bash, KSH, or Perl.
• Proficient in Linux environments, specifically Oracle Linux Enterprise.
• Experience with monitoring tools like PEM, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
• Strong SQL skills.
