Description

You will manage and maintain large-scale PostgreSQL database infrastructure in a mission-critical environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, including troubleshooting performance issues like load average, locks, blocking, and long-running SQL.
• Execute database upgrades for both minor and major versions.
• Own backup and restore processes, including replication and point-in-time-recovery.
• Administer multi-terabyte databases and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Configure and manage high-availability setups using tools like Repmgr, pgpool, or efm.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture and configuration parameters.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL replication and point-in-time-recovery.
• Experience managing database deployments in AWS (RDS or EC2) or GCP.
• Proven ability to administer multi-terabyte databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, SQL tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle RAC.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python.
• Knowledge of SingleStore/MemSQL.
