Description

You will serve as the AWS RDS Database Engineer, managing and deploying database applications as a key team member.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, migrate, maintain, and upgrade open-source database platforms like PostgreSQL and AWS RDS.
• Implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation.
• Improve Postgres SQL performance using indexing and other approaches.
• Manage Postgres SQL migrations, including estimation and technical execution.
• Support complex RDS databases in AWS, configuring high availability and resiliency solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience managing Postgres databases.
• 5 years of experience with AWS RDS, covering security policy, user authentication, and IAM.
• Strong Postgres and SQL Server DB administration experience in production environments.
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS, including SSH usage with key pairs.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, GitHub, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Working knowledge of EDB, Oracle, and SQL Server operations.
• Experience with database partitioning, message queuing, and full-text indexing.
• Experience with CI/CD using GitLab and job scheduling automation.
• Knowledge of database design, query optimization, and isolation levels.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep expertise in Linux OS security and SSH key management.
