Description

You own the administration, performance, and reliability of PostgreSQL database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure PostgreSQL servers on-premises.
• Optimize configuration settings and implement performance tuning measures.
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to maintain data integrity.
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve database issues while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in the IT industry.
• 7+ years as a DBA utilizing PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in installing and configuring PostgreSQL servers on-premises.
• Proficiency in developing scripts for automating routine DBA tasks.
• Proficient with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.
• Experience with ITSM support processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of XL Release (Xlr) for deployment automation.
