Description

You will manage and optimize PostgreSQL and MySQL database environments within AWS.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and patch database software to ensure optimal performance and stability.
• Design and optimize data models and database layouts in collaboration with developers.
• Implement security measures, manage user access, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Execute regular backup procedures and develop tested recovery plans to prevent data loss.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage capacity planning for future data growth.
• Automate routine maintenance and monitoring tasks using scripting.
• Plan and execute data migrations between systems while maintaining data integrity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on expertise with RDS PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with MySQL.
• Experience with database installation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of database design and data modeling.
• Experience implementing data security and access controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot system failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DynamoDB.
• Experience with MS SQL.
