Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure PostgreSQL and MySQL database environments hosted on AWS.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and patch database software to ensure stability and performance.
• Design and optimize data models and database layouts with development teams.
• Implement security measures, manage user access, and ensure compliance.
• Execute regular backups and develop tested recovery plans to prevent data loss.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage capacity planning for growth.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on expertise with RDS PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with MySQL.
• Experience with database installation and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of database design and data modeling.
• Experience implementing data security and access controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot system failures and performance bottlenecks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DynamoDB.
• Experience with MS SQL.
