Description

You will manage and architect PostgreSQL databases across the full development and production lifecycle within an AWS environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and document PostgreSQL databases, including logical and physical schemas.
• Administer database infrastructure on AWS RDS and AWS EC2 instances.
• Develop and test Linux or Bash scripts for backups, startup, shutdown, and database automation.
• Optimize complex SQL queries and manage database partitioning and microservices.
• Implement replication, Change Data Capture (CDC) techniques, and data conversion strategies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in relational database administration and management.
• 5+ years of experience with database infrastructure tasks on Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL architecture and complex SQL query optimization.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with PL/pgSQL and Groovy programming languages.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, reporting, and analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
