Description

You will manage, maintain, and optimize production and development PostgreSQL database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune database performance and query execution.
• Design and implement high availability solutions including replication and clustering.
• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal data loss.
• Automate routine tasks such as backups, migrations, and maintenance jobs.

Required Skills

• 8+ years managing PostgreSQL databases in production.
• Expertise in HA architectures (streaming replication, Patroni).
• Proficiency in database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
• Strong knowledge of database security principles and access controls.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions (pgBackRest, Barman).
• Proficient in advanced SQL, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Scripting experience in Bash or Python for automation.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines.
• Familiarity with MySQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of Hadoop.
