Description

Manage and maintain highly available database systems to support enterprise data requirements. Own the design, build, and configuration of PostgreSQL or Oracle databases on Linux environments. Optimize performance, backup, and recovery processes while implementing high-availability solutions and replication. Develop and optimize PL/PostgreSQL, triggers, and stored procedures. Collaborate with ETL teams to ensure efficient data ingestion and quality.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
• Expertise in PL/PostgreSQL, triggers, materialized views, and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional database theory.
• Proven experience with database backup and recovery.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Understanding of high-availability technologies and database server architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle databases in addition to PostgreSQL.
• Background in dimensional database theory for data warehousing.
