Description

Manage and maintain highly available PostgreSQL or Oracle database systems on Linux to support enterprise data requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure PostgreSQL or Oracle databases on Linux environments.
• Optimize performance, backup, and recovery processes for high availability.
• Implement database replication and high-availability solutions.
• Develop and optimize PL/PostgreSQL, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Collaborate with ETL teams to ensure efficient data ingestion and quality.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in database administration.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
• Expertise in PL/PostgreSQL, triggers, materialized views, and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional database theory.
• Proven experience with database backup and recovery.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Understanding of high-availability technologies and database server architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle databases in addition to PostgreSQL.
• Background in dimensional database theory for data warehousing.
