Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong AWS expertise to manage PostgreSQL databases and lead database migration and optimization initiatives in the AWS Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute migration of on-prem SQL/Oracle databases to AWS PostgreSQL environments.
Perform hands-on SQL/Oracle to PostgreSQL code remediation, including schemas, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Identify and resolve naming convention issues such as Snake Case, Pascal Case, and other standards.
Work closely with application teams to ensure code remediation is both technically correct and functionally aligned.
Install, configure, and manage PostgreSQL databases across multiple versions.
Optimize database performance while ensuring high availability and scalability.
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using native PostgreSQL tools and AWS services.
Manage streaming and logical replication and implement high-availability database environments.
Implement and maintain PostgreSQL security policies, roles, permissions, and privileges.
Monitor database health and performance using pgAdmin, AWS CloudWatch, and other monitoring solutions.
Configure and manage PostgreSQL databases within AWS Cloud environments.
Utilize AWS services including S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and DMS for database operations and migrations.

Multi-AZ & Failover Configuration
Strong collaboration with Application/Infrastructure teams

Certifications
Preferred but NOT Mandatory:
PostgreSQL Certified Professional or equivalent
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
