Description

You will manage, optimize, and secure PostgreSQL database environments to support application requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain database objects including triggers, indexes, views, and schemas.
• Set up and manage streaming replication and tablespace management.
• Monitor performance, analyze query costs, and implement optimizations.
• Manage database backups, restorations, and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Control security through role management, privileges, and user access permissions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with pg_ctl and psql utilities.
• Deep understanding of relational database design and development.
• Experience with database replication and maintenance tools.
• Proven ability to resolve production data-related issues.
• Knowledge of database security best practices and preventive measures.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
