PostgreSQL Database Administrator

You will manage and maintain enterprise PostgreSQL database infrastructure within a regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain database integrity, high availability, and failover strategies using logical and physical replication.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning and configuration management.
• Support development and infrastructure teams by managing core data systems.
• Ensure database environments meet scalability and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, configuration, and administration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting using Bash or Python.
• Knowledge of data security and auditing best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB.
• Knowledge of pgAdmin, Patroni, pgBouncer, or pgBackRest.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools, and version control.
