Description

You will manage and maintain enterprise PostgreSQL database infrastructure within a regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core data systems to ensure high availability, data integrity, and scalability.
• Optimize database performance through query tuning and configuration management.
• Implement and manage logical and physical replication and failover strategies.
• Support development and infrastructure teams with database administration and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, configuration, and administration.
• Expertise in SQL and database performance tuning.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting using Bash or Python.
• Strong knowledge of high availability and replication strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience working within financial services or highly regulated environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with MongoDB.
• Knowledge of pgAdmin, Patroni, pgBouncer, or pgBackRest.
• Experience with AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
