Description

You will manage the health, security, and performance of MySQL and PostgreSQL database infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain database servers for system health and security.
• Design and execute regular backup, recovery, and maintenance schedules.
• Manage user accounts, assign security levels, and enforce access controls.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.
• Coordinate with application teams to ensure data integrity and support disaster recovery testing.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years of hands-on database administration experience.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and MySQL administration.
• Experience with server installation, configuration, and system monitoring.
• Expertise in backup process design and data protection strategies.
• Ability to manage user accounts and security roles.
• Strong technical support and problem-resolution skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with 24x7 shift work and disaster recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of Data Protection Act adherence and database documentation standards.
