Description

You will develop, optimize, and troubleshoot database objects for a biological data management system.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and documented tasks.
• Develop PostgreSQL database objects, including functions, procedures, and views.
• Optimize existing queries, functions, and database objects.
• Manage database code using Git version control following established procedures.
• Develop ETL processes for data migrations and imports.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL development.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL SQL development and database optimization.
• Experience implementing geospatial functionality using PostGIS.
• Proficiency in managing database code within Git.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for requirements management.
• Experience working on large managed project teams.
• Familiarity with ETL processes.

Preferred Skills

• Background in biological data management systems.
