Description

You will design and build a new customer-facing CRM from the ground up, owning the PostgreSQL database architecture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable PostgreSQL database to support the CRM platform.
• Design schemas, tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures to meet performance requirements.
• Implement advanced features including partitioning, indexing strategies, replication, and high availability.
• Optimize queries, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure database reliability.
• Establish database coding standards, governance, and disaster recovery strategies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in database development or architecture.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL internals, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Proven experience designing large-scale, high-performance database systems.
• Experience with replication, partitioning, sharding, and high availability in PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of database security, encryption, and compliance.
• Experience building customer-facing applications with complex relational data models.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud-hosted PostgreSQL services such as AWS RDS or Aurora.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, data migration, and data integration.
• Experience building CRM platforms or similar applications from scratch.
