Description

You will manage and optimize PostgreSQL server platforms within a high-availability trading environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage PostgreSQL 15 installation, configuration, maintenance, and security hardening using CIS deployment.
• Execute database replication, backup, restore procedures, and annual disaster recovery testing.
• Perform database development, performance tuning, and proactive monitoring to prevent system issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents quickly to maintain environment availability.
• Automate system administration tasks and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL 15 administration and maintenance.
• Proficiency with RedHat Linux OS.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore workflows.
• Knowledge of database security, access control, monitoring, and auditing.
• Experience with database authentication via AD or Azure AD.
• Understanding of change control, upgrade, and release deployment processes.
• Ability to perform late night and weekend work for installations, patching, and upgrades.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience working within a financial services environment.
