Description

You will serve as the PostgreSQL Subject Matter Expert managing large-scale database infrastructure and complex migrations.

Responsibilities

• Execute on-prem to cloud migrations, including backup/restore, export/import, load testing, and benchmarking.
• Monitor and manage database infrastructure proactively to ensure real-time stability.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for database incidents, making technical decisions during high-priority outages.
• Manage change control processes, including creating, reviewing, and implementing change records.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and support software deployments.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise in backup processes, procedures, and capacity planning.
• Proven ability to document standard operational procedures.
• Experience managing database migrations and performing in-place upgrades on VM and physical servers.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, engineers, and leadership.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities within a global team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or equivalent work experience.
