Description

You will manage PostgreSQL database environments across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.

Manage backup processes and procedures to ensure data integrity. Execute migrations from on-premise environments to the cloud. Implement database HA/DR designs, including replication, mirroring, and log shipping. Perform capacity planning and monitor database performance. Document standard operational procedures for database management.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL Server DBA in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with recent versions of PostgreSQL.
• Experience with in-place database upgrades on VM and physical servers.
• Proven ability to design and support large database migration strategies.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and high availability/disaster recovery implementation.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Cloud Technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, information technology, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle, SQL, MS SQL, or DB2.
• Knowledge of cloud service models (PaaS/SaaS/IaaS) within Azure or AWS.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Foglight, Splunk, Extrahop, or Dynatrace.
