Description

You will manage PostgreSQL infrastructure in large-scale, mission-critical production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute backup, restore, and recovery strategies for high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.
• Perform advanced performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, vacuum/analyze tuning, and capacity planning.
• Own Sev-1 and Sev-2 incidents, driving root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plan (CAP) execution.
• Implement security features such as role-based access, auditing, encryption, and vulnerability remediation.
• Drive automation opportunities using approved scripting and workflow tools within an ITIL framework.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Linux (Redhat 8.x/9.x) and Windows Server 2019/22.
• Proven experience operating in a 24x7, SLA-driven managed services environment.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management).
• Experience supporting regulated enterprise environments, including audits and compliance evidence generation.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• PostgreSQL Professional Certification.
• ITIL V4 Certification.
