Description

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL database environments to ensure stability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the release and operational lifecycle of database systems.
• Manage backups, recovery, and security protocols.
• Execute performance tuning and query optimization to maintain system efficiency.
• Implement and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline database operations.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or in a similar database administration role.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Deep knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Proficiency in Shell, Python, or Perl for task automation.
• Experience managing cloud-based services, specifically AWS RDS for PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability in database security, backup management, and recovery procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
