Manage and maintain the enterprise PostgreSQL environment, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer existing database environments, including planning, implementing, and supporting physical database structures.
• Monitor system health and perform performance tuning on all PostgreSQL instances to optimize query execution and resource usage.
• Design and automate repetitive database processes to reduce manual overhead and improve reliability.
• Develop and maintain complex stored procedures and SQL scripts for data manipulation and business logic.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of database administration experience with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Extensive hands-on experience with PostgreSQL internals, SQL, and database normalization concepts.
• Proven ability to write and optimize complex stored procedures and SQL scripts.
• Experience with cloud-based database services, specifically AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, and Azure Database.
• Proficiency with Ansible or similar automated operations environments for infrastructure management.
• Strong scripting language skills for automation and tooling.
• Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as MySQL.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within a highly automated operations environment.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
