Description

You will manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases across development, staging, and production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in all environments.
• Analyze and optimize performance using EXPLAIN, ANALYZE, and pg_stat_activity.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Configure security policies, including user roles and access controls.
• Manage replication strategies (master-slave, synchronous) for high availability.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and administration.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database optimization techniques.
• Experience with pgAdmin and psql.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery tools (pg_dump, pg_restore, WAL logs).
• Understanding of database replication concepts.
• Experience with AWS RDS.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with 8+ years of overall working experience in database administration.
