Description

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments to ensure high availability and data integrity.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL software, including monitoring and alerting systems.
• Architect and configure high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Enterprise Failover Manager or similar technologies.
• Execute database migrations from DB2, Sybase, and Oracle to PostgreSQL using tools like AWS DMS.
• Lead system and SQL performance tuning to support business process integration.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on database design, schema changes, and application enhancements.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a DBA with PostgreSQL open source.
• Proven experience setting up PostgreSQL clusters and supporting HA/DR solutions.
• Hands-on experience building scalable clusters, failover, and hot standby solutions.
• Strong proficiency in UNIX and Linux Shell Scripting.
• Working knowledge of Sybase, Oracle, and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with database migration workflows and tools.
