Description

You will design, deploy, and maintain database clusters to support large-scale platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain EDB Postgres, PGD, and AWS RDS clusters across development, QA, and production.
• Execute database upgrades, migrations, and patching while developing robust backup strategies.
• Perform performance tuning, collect diagnostics, and optimize SQL and PostgreSQL configurations.
• Configure and monitor PostgreSQL binary and logical replication, including Bi-Directional Replication (BDR).
• Collaborate with application teams to understand data requirements and participate in production support rotations.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in database administration and architecture.
• Deep expertise in EDB Postgres, Postgres Distributed (PGD), and AWS RDS/Aurora.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL installation, configuration, and internals.
• Strong experience with PL/pgSQL and other PostgreSQL procedural languages.
• Hands-on experience with replication technologies such as Binary Streaming and BDR.
• Proficiency in Linux environments, specifically Oracle Linux Enterprise.
• Scripting skills in Bash, KSH, Perl, or Python.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Experience with PEM monitoring and alerting tools.
