Description

You will own database development and large-scale migrations within a PostgreSQL environment.

Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL functions, triggers, stored procedures, and packages to implement application logic directly in the database.
• Execute migrations from Oracle and SQL Server to PostgreSQL, converting existing SQL code into optimized PostgreSQL syntax.
• Research, design, author, test, debug, and profile source code to ensure performance.
• Support Data Warehouse requirements and database system implementations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database development.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and general DBMS concepts.
• Proven experience with Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL.
• Experience with Oracle to PostgreSQL migration workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse architecture.
• Scripting experience using Shell, Ant, or Ansible.
• Practical experience with Java.
