Description

Manage and support Open Source PostgreSQL infrastructure through design, implementation, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and test PostgreSQL Community Edition infrastructure.
• Execute updates, upgrades, and day-to-day operational support for database environments.
• Implement automated methods for the installation and configuration of PostgreSQL.
• Manage backup, recovery, and high availability strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and system configurations.

Required Skills

• 5-7+ years of experience with Open Source (Community Edition) PostgreSQL.
• 5+ years of experience in Relational Database Administration and Management.
• Expert level knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture and administration.
• Expert level proficiency in shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux.
• Experience with monitoring tools and tuning procedures for PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to handle backup, recovery, and high availability.
• Experience working with cloud solutions and services.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience using automated methods for database deployment.
